International 886 Problems - Everything is working, ta feels very good and all brakes and power. International 886 series b tractor hydraulic malfunction. So far replaced clutch, trans brake , flywheel. It shifts fair for awhile then gets to scratching the gears again. Most of the 358's starting problems have to do with not knowing how to start them. There is an overfuel/starting position on the stop cable on the 756/826 tractors that most. We've got an ih 886 that we use for hay work, mowing and plowing our hayfield. Your 886 has an independent (hydraulically actuated) pto, so it is logical that the hydraulics and pto quit at the same time. Check to hydraulic fluid level & change fluid & filter.
